Cooking Directions
1. Spread out dry lentils and remove any foreign particles.
2. Wash lentils in cold water.
3. For each cup of lentils use 2 cups water or other liquid such as beef, chicken or vegetable stock. Combine lentils and liquids in heavy saucepan. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer until lentils are tender, about 15 to 20 minutes. *For al dente preparation, cook only 10 to 15 minutes.
Each cup makes about 2 cups cooked lentils.
