Simply put, The Best ! We’ve tried them all.
My husband LOVES grits. I saw these and ordered. He says they’re the best he’s had in many, many years. He’s 75 and knows grits!! Said they were smoother & creamier than Quaker, our usual brand. I’ll be keeping these in our pantry.
Hi there. Are these grits “certified” gluten free … meaning they’re tested for the presence of gluten? Thanks!
Yes. The grits supplied to us by our suppliers are certified Gluten free by the Gluten Intolerance Group in accordance with the standards set by GFCO (Gluten-Free Certification Organization). The grits are then packed at our facility which is gluten free. We only pack beans, rice and cornmeal which are all gluten free in nature. We appreciate your business and we hope this information helps.
Been buying Dixie Lily grits since the 1990’s and we’ve been eating them (and recommending them) ever since. Found the New Zip Lock Bags at the store the other day and bought six bags. I opened up the first one today and I’ve got to say that those were the cleanest, finest grits I’ve ever seen!! Barely a dark spec in the bag. And Super Fresh taste when cooked, although I don’t quite cook them the way the instructions say. The Measurements, yes; but Always half water, half milk for the liquid, at least a Tbl. butter (or margarine if necessary), and salted just a hair more than recommended. My grandmothers always said that when you put the grits on, you should take a little spoon and taste the liquid to see if there was a nice mild saltiness to it. Keeps everyone from having to add salt at the table. Also a big fan of China Doll beans!! Kudos on such great product lines!! Gotta go add more to my grocery list.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We love hearing from satisfied customers because it tells us that all of our hard work is paying off. We also agree with your recipe. A little milk or cream can really make your grits extra creamy and delicious. We appreciate your business.
