  1. Just a quick question about the gluten free status. Are the grits free from cross contamination in a separate facility and safe for individuals with Celiac Disease?

Thank you for your help in this matter.

    1. Our research shows that approximately 88% of the corn grown in the US is genetically modified in some way. Our corn suppliers do not claim to be non-genetically modified. Thanks

    1. Thank you so much for contacting us. Yes, our yellow grits are processed in a plant that is free from cross contamination with soy/dairy/peanuts/tree nuts. We hope this helps and we appreciate your business.

  2. Are these yellow corn grits the same as polenta? If not, can I add cornmeal to the yellow corn grits and substitute for polenta in my receipt?

    1. Thank you so much for contacting us. You can certainly try our yellow corn grits for your polenta recipe. They are not stone ground but they should work fine. Please let us know how your recipe turns out. We appreciate your business and we hope this helps.

  3. My family and I Love the yellow grits more than the white. I am so disappointed that the Krogers in Augusta, GA and Aiken, SC have been out of them for a while. I usually buy 5-6 bags at a time. My son bought some for us the other day and there was only one bag left so he bought another brand. It is stone ground and horrible. He misplaced the receipt. I wanted to send that brand back to the store. Now we are stuck with 3 unopened packs of stone ground grits. I bought a box of your white grits yesterday. It’s still good. We are just partial to your yellow grits. Hopefully it will be back in the stores soon. We will keep looking!

    1. Thank you so much for contacting us. Please ask your Kroger store manager to replenish it. They should be in all of those stores. We did want to make you aware that we have changed our bag to a standup pouch that is resealable. You can see it on our website under products > Grits. Again, all of the stores should have them on the shelves. We hope this information helps and we appreciate your business.

  4. I understand the grits are labeled “gluten free”. Can you please kindly confirm the grits free from cross contamination with wheat and processed on separate equipment in a separate facility from those containing wheat?

    1. Thank you so much for contacting us. Our grits are packed in our facility in Saraland, Alabama. At this facility, we do not pack any items with any wheat or wheat byproducts in them. We appreciate your business and we hope this information helps.

      1. Harris, I understand the facility does not pack any items with any wheat or wheat byproducts in them. How about barley and rye? Gluten is found in wheat, barley and rye.

        1. We do not pack any items with barley or rye either. We only pack beans, rice, grits and corn meal at our facility. We hope this information helps.

    1. Our yellow grits are supplied by a milling company in Indiana that is certified Kosher by the Indianapolis Beth Din. However we do not include the Kosher emblem because we do not have certification inspections at our packaging facility. We hope this information helps and we appreciate your business.

  5. Y’all. I have eaten a lot of grits in my 42 years on earth, but these Yellow Grits y’all make are the best I have ever had. We will be buying these only from now on. Keep up the great work.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words. We love to hear when our hard work is paying off. We appreciate your business.

  6. I am a yellow grits snob and usually like coarse, stoneground grits. Walmart in Morehead City just started carrying your grits. I picked up a bag of your yellow grits and they were awesome. I have been paying 6 times the price of your grits. They cook much faster and the taste is equally as good. The bags are small so I purchased 4 bags today. You have a very good product.

  7. Thank you this was my first bag and I’m in love with the taste!!! No more white grits for me
